What Veilbrook promises
Last updated: October 30, 2026. Veilbrook is an assisted tool: you review flagged items before sharing a document.
What is promised
- No leak from the review queue: no item is shared until you decide what to do with it.
- Measured residual, published on fresh tests; we do not promise “zero leaks”.
- Mask precision and review load measured by document type.
- PDF: clean pages keep their text; pages with personal information are rasterized at 300 dpi with a non-PII text layer; no extractable PII remains.
Published figures (fresh tests, administrative English)
| Measure | v10 | v12 |
| Gold values | 5,765 | 5,415 |
| Silent leaks | 0 | 9 (0.17%) |
| Mask precision | 92.61% | 93.43% |
The 9 v12 cases are rare name formats (absent candidates), corrected on dev; the next fresh test remains the reference.
PDF (non-regression vs the old tool)
- Extraction: 0.9974 (min 0.9888); non-PII text retained: 99.52%.
- Extractable PII: 0/15 (old tool: 9/15, form fields).
- Pages retained: 15/15; size 3.25× (300 dpi images).
Limits
- Current scope: administrative/legal English and forms; limited scans; S4 not covered in the latest tests.
- Pages containing PII are images, not vector text; the text layer is rebuilt.
- No guarantee of anonymization under GDPR; this is pseudonymization/redaction.
